The Voice that Knows my Name  by Ms. Silent Rhymes We were so used to the sounds that surrounds us We expected it on repeat, loud, consistent, clear The usual sounds, the ones that are obvious Chirping birds, people chatting, the flow of water The noise of a vehicle, the roar of a thunder Since all were natural, it was easy to hear and understand  Upon listening to it, notice the consistency  Has become a pattern that gives you guarantee  For it serves as a constant input of sounds to your ear Like "Yeah! That's how it sounds like, I know, I can hear" On the other hand, there're the sound that are silent but loud  Voices that don't heard the way these natural sounds do The voices not on the surrounding but inside of you Like those little compliments when you've done something nice when you hurt someone, it's the voice that feeds your guilt every time That sound is referred to as yourself inside,  your best friend, both your admirer and your conscience But ...
